Branson, MO & Area
Barb and I lived in Branson, MO for 15 years before moving to Florida. One of our next door neighbors was an owner of the Branson Scenic Railroad that became the Branson Polar Express at Christmas time. The neighbor on the other side is a doctor who resided in Oklahoma and vacationed in Branson with his family. I tell you all of this because, when the Santa Clause of the Polar Express seemed to have a heart attack during a Christmas run a few years ago, our doctor neighbor was on that train and helped him. The next years season, I was asked to be the replacement for that Santa on the Polar Express and Barb was my assistant Elf. So there you have it, all three of us living next door to each other. The video below was taken Oct 1, 2023. Rarely does the train go to the North because they share the same rail track with Amtrack, they usually are given the OK to go South toward Arkansas.
