Branson, MO & Area

 Barb and I lived in Branson, MO for 15 years before moving to Florida. One of our next door neighbors was an owner of the Branson Scenic Railroad that became the Branson Polar Express at Christmas time. The neighbor on the other side is a doctor who resided in Oklahoma and vacationed in Branson with his family.  I tell you all of this because, when the Santa Clause of the Polar Express seemed to have a heart attack during a Christmas run a few years ago, our doctor neighbor was on that train and helped him. The next years season, I was asked to be the replacement for that Santa on the Polar Express and Barb was my assistant Elf. So there you have it, all three of us living next door to each other. The video below was taken Oct 1, 2023. Rarely does the train go to the North because they share the same rail track with Amtrack, they usually are given the OK to go South toward Arkansas. Fall 2023 Travels of John and Barb Freed

  9.13.2023 Barb and I left Miami Beach, FL around 11:30 am, heading to St. Augustine, FL.  We are celebrating our 17th Wedding Anniversary (September 10, 2006). Our 2006 Wedding photo ST AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA Here are some of the photos we took before finally finding a place to eat that had parking spaces available, Thanks for Cracker Barrel!!! An Octagon House on 9.14.2023 we traveled up the coast, mostly on I-95 to Florence, South Carolina. I did not take any photos here, but the La Quinta Inn & Suites was a great place to stay.
